About Me
Play & Creative Arts Therapist
Accredited P.G.Dip
I have over 14 years’ experience working with children both here in Ireland and overseas. I have worked in various primary schools and specialised children’s intervention services in Dublin and I have had the privilege of providing play therapy for children who have experienced trauma, complex medical conditions and children living in care.
Before training as a Play Therapist, I worked with children of all ages in a variety of family support settings. I first became interested in Play Therapy whilst managing a non-profit community service in an under resourced area. There, I saw first hand the serious need for improved children’s mental health services in Ireland. Subsequently I home tutored a boy under-going treatment for leukemia and this ultimately set me on my path to becoming a Play Therapist.
In my free time you will find me in the sea or in the mountains.
